Dormitory Rules

Everyone residing in the dormitories must:

  • Use the remises as intended and in accordance with the limits set by Housing Code of Russian Federation.
  • Follow the Charter of Sakhalin State University, Provision on Student Dormitories, rules of using a living quarter.
  • Ensure the preservation of the premises, equipment and inventory given for use. Any student is responsible for property given for personal use in accordance with the current law.
  • Maintain the state of premises. Unauthorized rearrangement of any property in the premises is not allowed.
  • Carry out the maintenance in the premises.
  • Pay for premises and utility bills on time. The duty to pay for premises and utility bills enters into force the moment the present Agreement is signed.
  • Move into other living quarter offered by the Employer during the major repairs (when the maintenance cannot be provided without moving out).
  • Allow a representative of the Employer to enter the premises at agreed in advance time for checking the technical state of the premises, sanitation or any other equipment located in the premises and conducting the needed work in the premises.
  • Immediately take possibly measures for eliminating failures of the premises, sanitary or any other equipment in the premises if such are found and, if needed, contact the Head of the Dormitory or administrative office of the dormitory.
  • Use the premises in accordance with the rights and legal interests of neighbors, fire safety regulations, sanitation, hygiene, ecology and other regulations.
  • In case of moving out, show the premises to Employer in a proper state in 3 (three) days for inspection and pay arrears in premises and utility bills payments.
  • In case of repudiation or cancellation of the present Agreement, move out in 3 (three) days. If a refusal to move out is expressed by student, he/she shall become subject to eviction.
  • Pay restitution for the caused damage (premises, equipment and inventory of the dormitories).
  • Not smoke and drink alcohol in the premises and community service areas.
  • Not process the exchange of the residence or sub-lease.

Rooms in Sakhalin State University dormitories are assigned to freshmen in the following order:

  • Orphans, children without parental care (nonresident);
  • Disabled children, disabled (groups I, II) people, persons disabled since childhood;
  • Students from families receiving state social assistance;
  • Students from remote areas;
  • Other categories of students.

Accommodation Cost

  • For students with face-to-face educational form on the basis of agreement with full reimbursement of expenditures — 2 200,00 RUB a month per bed;
  • For students with face-to-face educational form on the basis of state-funded places – 1 350,00 RUB a month per bed;
  • For foreign students on Higher Education / Secondary Vocational Education programs – 3 300,00 RUB a month per bed;
  • For family members of those studying in Sakhalin State University (excluding student couples) — 250,00 RUB a day per bed;
  • For students with extramural education form on Higher Education / Secondary Vocational Education programs, internships or Additional Vocational Training — 350,00 RUB a day per bed;
  • For invited guests and people not related to categories listed above — 550,00 RUB a day per bed.

Living quarters in the university dormitories are given for free to:

  1. Orphan children and children without parental care, adult persons among orphan children and children without parental care;
  2. Disabled children, disabled (groups I, II) people, persons disabled since childhood.
